This volume presents a spiritual commentary on Paul's letter to the Romans.

The author sees Romans as Paul's "gospel", the document on Christian spirituality, in fact, the best one ever written. After an informative introduction, you will find the complete text of Romans together with Harrington's insightful exposition and his reflections on the letter's significance for Christian life today. These open up the spiritual riches contained in Paul's letter even for non-specialists. Harrington will help you to integrate Paul's message into your daily life through meditation, prayer and action.

Reviews

"Here Daniel Harrington makes Paul a good spiritual director. This he achieves by coupling but not mixing delightfully straight exegesis with suggestive pointers toward spiritual exercises. He is an honest guide. He leads us to Paul’s abiding insights. He also tells clearly when we know things that Paul did not.”
